Home coverage we place

Protection for the place you live, the things inside it, and the properties you rent out.

Homeowners

Dwelling, belongings, and liability coverage priced to the real cost of rebuilding your home.

Renters

Affordable protection for your belongings and liability, often for less than a dinner out each month.

Condo

Covers your unit's interior, upgrades, and personal property beyond your HOA's master policy.

Manufactured home

Coverage for manufactured and mobile homes on your own land or in a park, including attached structures and belongings.

Rental property

Coverage for single-family rentals, duplexes, and short-term rentals, including lost rent.

Earthquake and flood

Standard policies exclude both. In the Pacific Northwest, it's worth knowing your options.

Personal umbrella

Extra liability protection above your home and auto policies, starting at $1 million.

How getting a home quote works

  1. Tell us about the home

Address, year built, square footage, and any updates to the roof or systems.

  2. We estimate rebuild cost

So you're not underinsured if the worst happens.

  3. Compare carriers

See coverage and price from several companies, side by side.

  4. Bind and bundle

Start your policy and add auto for a multi-policy discount.

Home insurance questions

Does homeowners insurance cover earthquakes in Oregon?

Not usually. Earthquake coverage is typically added as an endorsement or bought as a separate policy. We'll quote it alongside your home policy so you can decide.

How much home insurance do I need?

Enough to rebuild your home at today's construction costs, which is often different from its market value. We calculate that for you before quoting.

Can I switch home insurance mid-year?

Yes. Most carriers refund unused premium. If your mortgage company pays through escrow, we'll send them the new policy information.

Will bundling home and auto save money?

It often does, but not always. We quote both bundled and separate so you can see which is cheaper.

Do you insure older homes?

Yes. Older homes with updated roofs, wiring, and plumbing are easier to place. We know which carriers are friendly to Portland's historic housing stock.
